Opening Your Tradovate Account
Even if you already have a NinjaTrader account, you will need to complete a new account application for your IRA account.
You can get started on your account application here.
When prompted for the Account Type, be sure to select IRA:
If prompted for your Account Custodian, you will need to enter Equity Trust. Equity Trust is a third-party custodian that partners with Tradovate to provide service to our clients with IRA accounts.
After submitting your account application, it will be reviewed by our New Accounts team and you will receive an update from them by email as soon as processing is complete.

Equity Trust is a third-party custodian that partners with NinjaTrader to provide services to our clients with IRA accounts.
You will need to open an account with Equity Trust in order to have an IRA account with NinjaTrader, and more information on this process can be found via their website here.

- The daytrade margin rate for an IRA account is four times the standard daytrade margin rate
