Tradovate’s Group Trade allows traders who trade multiple accounts to define unlimited groups, add accounts to those groups, and assign quantities to the accounts in the group. Traders can then select one of their configured groups and place a trade for all the accounts in the group easily through Tradovate. Orders, Positions and Accounts for the group are displayed right inside Tradovate and can be managed independently.
To Create and/or Manage groups, click on the account dropdown:
This will launch an editor which will allow you to Create New, Manage Existing and Remove Groups. Adding a new group will allow you to name the group:
After Creating the Group, you will see a configuration modal allowing you to add Accounts that you have access to and set quantities for those accounts:
Once the Group definition is setup, it can be selected from the drop-down:
When the Group is selected, the application will only allow orders in multiples of the Group Accounts quantity SUM:
When the order is placed for the group, you will see all the orders for each account in the group in the Order module and all the positions for each account in the group in the Positions module:
If you de-select the group in the Account drop-down:
You will only see orders and positions for the account selected:
With the Group selected, the DOM and Chart will show the aggregated position for the Group:
With the Group selected, order management functions in the Chart and DOM will work for the Group (Exit at Mkt&Cxl, Reverse & Cxl, Cancel All, Cancel Offers, Cancel Bids):
