Share Custom Indicators with the Tradovate Community

Hello,

We're in the process of introducing a Community for sharing custom indicators inside the Tradovate Platform. This will eliminate the need to export/import indicators to share with others and give you the opportunity to explore indicators others have developed and shared. I wanted to outline how we're going about implementing this and get your feedback on this feature.

Community Menu

Inside the Code Editor module, we will be introducing a "Community" section

Explore Menu

This Menu Item will bring up a listing of indicators that have been shared by other Tradovate members.

Installed Menu

This area will show you a listing of all the indicators you have installed from the community. The display is similar to the details found under the “Explore” menu, with the addition of 2 additional functions to Uninstall the Indicator or Disable the Indicator.

Share Menu

The Share function allows users to share indicators they have developer with other Tradovate Members

When sharing your first indicator you can select a name/alias to share it under

My Entries Menu

This area will show a listing of all the indicators you have shared with the community

Can you charge for some indicators?

Hi Gary,

Currently the "Indicator Community" is geared toward open sharing and does not support a billing component. We do have a couple other approaches for 3rd parties who may want to manage distribution/entitlement/billing for indicators or other tools.
