Countdown for current bar to finish

I'm always looking at my clock to see the amount of time left for a bar to finish.  As an example, if I'm looking at a 5 minute bar it would be nice to see on the chart the amount of time left until that bar is complete.

Here is another service I use that displays a 10 minute bar that has 37 seconds left until the bar is complete.  The color is green because the bar is positive.

  This functionality is a no brainer :) I just cant believe there it isnt available as a default feature - guys are working hard to implement all the stuff around possible forgeting basic things. Waiting for implementing it soon.

  Another vote for Bar Countdown functionality -- time and tick based.  Trading tick charts is especially challenging without a timer when using a strategy based on candle finish, and breakout of the current candle.

  We will be adding the countdown timer to the chart tab.  Initially, this timer will be for time-based bars only.  We will assess effort for tick-based or range-based bars after releasing the time-based countdown.

  I wanted to provide an update on the bar countdown timer.

  This will be available for minute-based bars in our next release.  To configure this:

  Open the chart settings from the gear in the upper right of the chart and select the "Settings" option:

  

  In the pop-up modal, select the "Show Bar Countdown" option (you will need to set this for each chart you would like to see the countdown timer on):

  

  After doing so, you will see the countdown in the chart tab.

  Is it available on Window version? There is no "Show Bar Countdown" option.

  Hi angusfanfan

  It is currently available in the browser version (for Win and Mac).  It will be available in the install versions in release 1.180810.0 (you can view the version number right below the login buttons).  We typically push the new downloadables a couple days trailing the browser updates.  Usually these get updated on the Tuesday evening following a Friday night browser release.

  One additional update to this function we will be adding in the next release:

  We will be adding an alert function allowing you to set a parameter where, when reached, the countdown timer will flash and change color and an alert sound will play.  This will notify you that a chart is nearing the close of a bar.  This should help in cases where users have multiple chart / multiple chart tabs in a workspace.
