Every second counts!
I would love to have an on screen clock that matches the time on the trading platform. My algorithm uses precise times, between 2 and 3 minutes into the 5 minute candle for entry and then exiting before that candle closes as a reversal is the norm and not the exception. I constantly have to click on the computers clock as it disappears with every click on the screens. I would love to see the clock placed right above the "panic" buttons which is to say above the market order buttons. I say panic button because it costs $12.50 to use it as opposed to a limit order (LOL).
Before the computer age it was about price and time. The train is at the station loading up with buyers and sellers and neither know which way the train will go, up or down. At some point the train will leave that station and stop down the road. Trains that go one way for a the first minute or so and then realize they are traveling in the wrong direction, aka head fake, reverse in the second minute or so. The train usually reverses as the next 5 minute bar appears.
Every second counts as it $12.50 to miss by one tick. That one tick represents 1/3 of the targeted profit in a three tick scenario. My nickname around here is the "Three Tick Dick".
This is not my first rodeo as I unfortunately know the Wolf of Wall Street from the investors center circa 1987. Time didn't matter there. The longer you held it the more you lost. S and P futures are real and scalpers need precision and speed. The bracket feature allows for the speed so a clock would allow for the precision.
If I am correct about this, the amount of traders that could use tradovate could be significant. I say this because the club pay on price per month offer is necessary for a three tick scenario. It's about the old saying that you can make more with fast nickels than slow dollars.
Get me that on board clock and if I prove successful my you tube video will glorify the club theory. that's a promise.

My cries have gone unanswered. I flip back and forth to the computer clock which can be up to 20 seconds behind due to processor speed. When it is busy the information jams my computer. i am forced to stop when it's busy but sometimes do not and get really hurt. I feel your pain. I'll pray for your success.
