Show histograms in Bid-Ask Chart candles

Hello,

I wanted to post a new feature we will be releasing here and get your comments and feedback on it

While we do show the Bid and Ask volume numbers inside the candles, there are times when the chart scale does not allow for the minimum font size for these values to be displayed.  In these cases, when you are on the bid/ask chart you will see empty candles like the below:

While increasing the time and price scale will make the candles large enough to display the bid-ask volumes:

We are introducing a setting where you will be able to display a histogram for these chart types to visually show volume levels when the numbers will not fit to the candles.  To enable the histogram, go to the chart settings and select the check box to "Show Bar Histograms" and select your desired colors:

There are 2 selections for "normalization mode".  The first Normalization Mode is PerBar.  With this setting, the largest bar in a candle will correspond to the largest volume and all other histogram bars in that candle will be sized in proportion to that volume:

The second Normalization Mode is PerSeries.  With this setting, the largest bar in the loaded chart data series will correspond to the largest volume in the loaded chart data series and all other histogram bars will be sized in proportion to that volume:

The histogram and volume numbers will be displayed together on the candle when the scale allows:

I will keep this post updated when this feature is released to production.

    This is fantastic, can we please add 1 more feature to this, that is, coloring/highlighting the highest volume (POC) histogram level within each bar as well? Thanks!

    Yes, great suggestion, adding some way to identify the POC in the bar would be great.  I would also be great to be able to create supply or demand zones based upon the stack imbalances.

    The Bid-Ask Histograms are available in Trader version 1.180309.0
