If this happens, a lot of Metatrader 5 clients of AMP Futures would switch to Tradovate because of two major reasons:

    1. Low fees with Tradovate

    2. Faster execution of Metatrader 5 platform.  I've read from postings on futuresio regarding their experience on using Tradovate's trading softwares.

AMP Futures has lots of supported platforms.  But Metatrader 5 is dear to their heart.  Just look at their home page.  Metatrader 5 is front and center on their home page.  For the 2 reasons I mentioned above, AMP Futures will have a fierce competition.

I am asking Tradovate to please add Metatrader 5 to your suite of trading platforms.

I would also support introducing the MetaTrader platform on Tradovate. This would also make auto trading with expert advisors and backtesting of trading strategies available for many traders who currently use expert advisors on MetaTrader but can not use them on Tradovate. If Ampfutures can do it, so can an innovative business like Tradovate.

    Hello,

I wanted to reach out to the users who have commented or are watching this post.  Is your primary focus with MT5 trading from the platform or through the use of the Expert Advisors?

I use Expert Advisors. I find the platform a good candidate for HFT.

    Check this study.

    Hello Brian,

For me, it is primarily for trading from the platform as it is a much simpler platform to use and secondarily for the use of expert advisors.

Can someone please let us know if Tradovate is in the process of adding Metatrader as one of the supported platforms?

I sincerely hope that Metatrader becomes part of Tradovate.

We are currently working on supporting MQL.  Indicators first, followed by automated strategies.  I will keep this forum updated with progress.

    Hi Brian,

That is great, do you have any updates? Will you support MT5 platform or just MQL integration? Thanks

Our approach will be modified.  We will support C++.  Indicators first then followed by strategies.  This will allow us to have a more flexible approach, but will account for any indicators and strategies written in C++ (which MQL is).  It will require some manual intervention to map to Tradovate functions, but we will provide a description of the functions we expose.

As far as an update goes.  We are first addressing updating some chart internals to better support this (currently in progress).  Then we will move on to completing the work for C++ indicators.  This work is partially completed and will be finished once the chart internals are updated

    Thanks for the update Brian.
If you need an MQL5 programmer to test your APIs I would like to volunteer.
