Aloha Ringo, do you have a screenshot of what you'd like to see?  The native MACD plot includes a histogram already, so curious what you're thinking here.

If you are simply looking to hide the histogram plot, you can edit its settings and set its opacity to 0:

    Hey Tiki,

I use it for swing trades and combine that (overlay) the histogram on top of another oscillator. I'm not finding that works very well in Tradovate (or at all) Of course I can add them both but it takes up space on the price action. Would like to be able to fill in the histogram with color (solid) so I can have the other oscillator run on top of it and not have it look confusing.

Out of curiosity - is there a way to add open / close / tick to some of your indicators? I've seen so many indicators that are missing "on change" or tick and while "on close" is great for swing trading -- It's something that we use for day-trading on other platforms and it's a very a big help.

Very thankful for the indicators you have created..

I would like this also. Many of the indicators don't have full configurability -- like the stoch needs to be able to have a "smoothing" for K% -- things like that really make a difference.

@skyhook, have you tried adjusting the width of the plot line? it doesn't fill in the bar completely but definitely makes it more visible.  I think having a separate fill / outline color picker would be ideal.

What oscillator are you trying to place on top of it? You can add more than one indicator to the lower plot like this:

What do you mean by adding "open / close / tick"?  Do you have a picture you can post that shows what you're after?

@Ringo, want to make a more complete list of your suggestions?

    Hey Tiki,

I did try using the bar styles to make it a bit wider and that helps some but let me show you how I setup with an image so you can see and have some clarity on what Im looking at. And thank you for responding... and I agree with the "fill color picker"

Reason: this shows as much of a trend and divergence as anything possible -- it's of course not predictive but it's pretty close with practice. Thanks my friend.

@Tiki . Sure I'd love to. Im finding that though we have a good start with the indicators some of the flexibility for fine tuning are missing -- this may be a overall problem or issue due to Tradovate's platform compatibility, I'm not sure you'd know better.

Here is an example of the indicator selection for the Stoch and it's settings -- some of the Stoch we have don't allow an adjustments and while it's nice to even have a stoch it's not very helpful in trading if you need to be precise in your trades whether you scalp or swing --- it makes a difference.

So that selection availability for the RSI , STO , MACD etc.. is a very nice addition (allowing the ability to select on tick or price change).

Some of the indicators are not picking up the price action as it's happening. I think the Tiki volume is one of those -- it's exactly what I was looking for but it isn't picking up the volume on the current price action. At least on my system. It's possible that it is just my system.

I agree with your comments about the MACD fillin and color would be super awesome -- I'm like Skyhook I use that same setup Sto over MACD for trending and swing trading -- it would be nice to have that ability since at this time Tradovate doesn't allow you to draw trend lines past the current price (thats something they should implement sooner than later hopefully)

RSI would add similar additions to the flexibility. Smoothing and on "tick" or "Price Change"

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

I added a new indicator called "Tiki Stochastic" to the community indicators, check it out!

By default, Tradovate calculates its indicators on each tick. For "on bar close" I'm unsure what you'd want to see while waiting for the bar to close, unless you are thinking to displace the indicator forward by a period?  For "on price change", this is somewhat moot because this happens anyway.

So for Tiki Volume, since it's calculated on each "tick" it should update for you.  Try switching your chart to a volume bar, you should see the volume growing more clearly in realtime?  I have noticed that when the market is running faster (more data), indicator updates sometimes get backed up (something for Tradovate support to help with).

I'll look into the RSI indicator and see what improvements I can make.
