What are some characteristics of a satisfactory submission?
- You can view a list of acceptable address verification document types here
- The document is in the name of the applicant
- The address in the document matches the address submitted in the account application
- If it is a utility bill or bank statement:
- It was issued within the past ninety days
- The image is of the entire first page of the bill or statement (you can redact transactions and balances)
- The image is actually of a bill or statement, and not marketing correspondence from the utility company or bank
- The bill or statement has been extracted from its envelope, if a paper document
- The file sent to us is a PDF of the bill or statement, and not a screenshot from a website
What are some characteristics of an unsatisfactory submission?
- The document is not an accepted document type, for example:
- Credit card statement
- Mobile phone bill
- Automobile insurance
- Birthday card from your niece, even if she is your favorite
- The address in the document does not match the address on the account application
- The name on the document does not match the name of the applicant
- The document is more than ninety days old
