The Tradovate Pulse indicator is a real-time data analysis tool providing percentage comparisons of long versus short positions with average entry prices across popular Futures markets on the Tradovate Web app.
How to Add the Pulse Module
To add the Pulse Module to your workspace in Tradovate Web, click the + (New) button at the top-left of the page, and then click and drag the "Pulse" option to any location you would like on the screen.
Reading the Pulse Indicator
The Pulse Indicator’s pressure gauge updates in real-time, displaying market momentum, or sentiment, by comparing the percentage of open Long vs. Short positions, with a needle indicating the extremes on each side. Below the gauge, the Average Entry Prices for all Long and Short positions are displayed.
- At the time the screenshot above was taken, the E-Mini S&P 500 market on the left shows 15% Long position momentum, with an average Long Entry Price of 5852.06 and an average Short Entry Price of 5868.26.
You may reorganize the gauges in the Pulse module by clicking and dragging the three dots to the upper-right of each gauge. Depending on the size of the module in your workspace, you may need to scroll down within the Pulse module to view additional Pulse gauges.
Additional Pulse Notes
- The only markets currently supported on the Tradovate Pulse indicator are ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, YM, MYM, CL, MCL, GC, and MGC. At this time, specific Instrument gauges cannot be added, removed, or renamed in the Pulse module.
- The Pulse indicator is currently only available in the Simulation environment on the Tradovate Web platform and cannot be used for live trading at this time.
- Pulse data is aggregated on a per-market sentiment and cannot be narrowed down to a specific contract month.
